Daventry, Northamptonshire, UK-based anarcho-punk, crustcore band.From 1981 through 1987, they were active before reforming in May 2011. Antisect are an English punk/metal band with ties to the anarcho-punk movement. The label ‘crust’ is also frequently attributed to them, but they never referred to themselves as such. They also stated repeatedly that they were not limited to the categories of punk, despite having a strong punk background, or anarcho-punk, despite being very involved with the bands and people involved in the scene that was dubbed that by many, and that they were a metal band with a message of freedom and peace. They were mostly active in the first half of the 1980s. They are noteworthy for combining elements of punk and heavy metal and for being key to the crossover of the two genres.
