Ska is divided into three types: "Traditional", "2-Tone" and "3rd Wave". Traditional emerged in the late 1950s as a new dance music straight from Jamaica, there were The Israellites, The Melodians and even The Wailers, before being followed by rocksteady flow and becoming the "Father" of the emergence of reggae music .. Continued with 2-Tone was given such a name because whites and blacks came together to form a music group. Ska bands at that time spread unity in the 1970s in the plains of England and are closely related to Mods culture, and the emergence of hardmods or skinheads, we call it The Specials, Bad Manners, The Beat, The Selecter or Madness. The third wave was when ska hit America in the late 1980s, and added a bit of distortion to music and a punk attitude, for example The Mighty-Mighty Bostones, Save Ferris, Reel Big Fish, Sublime and so on. Ska is a type of music that has an upbeat guitar sound. It is usually accompanied by bass and the same rhythm sometimes together but not always. Ska has been around since the 1950s and Reggae originated from it. Ska, today, has more of a punk influence to it. Although not completely punk, but there is a rhythm of ska in it, because Ska came long ago punk. The two sounds mixed together as Ska hit the American music scene in the third wave of ska.
